Awaab’s Law & HHSRS Training (In Person)

SurePlus Solutions delivers in person training for housing associations, councils and national contractors on Awaab’s Law and the updated HHSRS hazards framework. The training is designed for organisations that need clear guidance, practical instruction and confident delivery from someone who understands the law and the theory but has also delivered the work in real services across multiple landlords.

As the founder of SurePlus Solutions, I deliver this training directly. I have led damp, mould and hazard responses at some of the largest landlords in the country and supported councils and national contractors to build safe, consistent and accountable approaches. This means the training is grounded in real operational experience, not generic classroom content. Teams receive guidance that reflects what actually happens in homes, on visits, in repairs services and in compliance environments.

SurePlus Solutions also has a network of associate directors who support the delivery of specialist training and consultancy programmes. These are experienced practitioners who have worked at senior levels across housing associations, councils and national contractors. Their involvement allows us to provide bespoke programmes that match the organisation’s service model, property profile and operational pressures. This ensures the training is built around real practice, not generic material.

The training explains the duties set out under Awaab’s Law, including investigation timescales, communication requirements, follow up actions and the need for structured case management. It also covers the updated HHSRS hazards framework, giving teams confidence in identifying hazards, assessing risk and recording findings accurately. The focus is on practical delivery, clear evidence and consistent decision making.

We work with organisations to tailor the training to their operational reality. This includes aligning content with surveying programmes, repairs processes, contractor delivery, customer service expectations and compliance frameworks. The aim is to help teams understand exactly how Awaab’s Law and HHSRS apply to their day to day work and how to embed the requirements into existing systems.

The in person format allows teams to ask questions, work through scenarios and build confidence in applying the requirements correctly. Organisations use this training to improve consistency, reduce risk, strengthen compliance and support safer homes.
